Hamfests are fun. Where else could you go to find fellow hams, bargain-priced radio and computer parts, radio exams, and tasty hotdogs, deserts, and drinks? Our hamfests!

We may not be as big as the multi-day Near-fest, but you will have fun at ours. Our flea market individuals hawk their wares and you can find good products at cheap prices. Come check us out!

Smith River Canoe and Kayak Race

Smith River Canoe and Kayak Race.  LRRA provides communications support for this event.  It is an opportunity for us to use Ham radio in community service.

The Annual Wolfeboro Lions Club Great Smith River Canoe and Kayak Race. Registration 10:00AM to 12:45PM at Albee Beach, on Lake Wentworth. Race begins at 1:15PM on Lake Wentworth, passes through Smith River to Crescent Lake, down the lower Smith River to Back Bay and then to Dockside, approx. 4 miles long and includes a mild white-water stretch and tow short portages. There are 19 classes to accommodate paddlers of all abilities.Forms are available at sporting goods stores in Wolfeboro, the Wolfeboro Town Hall and the Chamber of Commerce.

Field Day

Field day is a large annual event where ham radio operators set up temporary stations in the field to test their equipment and make contacts. This gives LRRA members an opportunity to demonstrate amateur radio capabilities. 

Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June, beginning at 1800 UTC Saturday and running through 2059 UTC Sunday.

4th of July Parade

Fourth of July Parade in Wolfeboro, NH.

The day opens with a parade at 10 a.m., starting on North Main Street and heading south.
