LRRA Officers for 2024-2026
LRRA is a non-profit and our officers each have individual duties related to managing some aspect of our organization. These duties are described in our bylaws.
Also, state law generally requires that a corporation have certain officers. These are president, secretary, and treasure.
A president’s duty is to make sure we are compliant. Leading, managing, and developing our organization is also part of the president’s responsibility.
A secretary’s duty fosters communication and manages paperwork and records.
A Treasurer’s duty oversees the management and reporting of the organization’s fiances.
The Executive Committee serves separately from the board of officers in an advisory capacity, and provides clear independent oversight. This helps avoid conflict of interest, concentration of powers and creates checks and balances for the entire organization. They also address high-level issues that are serious in nature.

Term of Office and Elections
Our president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer serve for a two-year period. They are elected at the annual meeting biannually.
We elect our officers several ways. An election can be conducted by email or radio net. The radio net is done on the club repeater on 147.030 MHz. A prior email notice is sent to the membership if doing a radio net.
The president appoints a nominating committee of three members, prior to election, to place into nomination the four elected officers. He also appoints the trustee of the association.
