Our LRRA sponsors contribute greatly to the livelihood of our organization and amateur radio in general. We were able to tell our sponsors what are needs were and what their contributions would go towards.
We explained to them that we were a non-profit amateur radio organization and were looking for help in increasing membership, upgrading our equipment and expanding our repeater site. They were curious and helpful.
Amateur Radio and amateur radio repeaters, has always been a popular hobby and gives folks a chance to talk across large cities, small towns, around the world and even in space. It is a terrific alternative to cell phones and the internet. And can be a lifeline in times of need.
It is educational, social and a lot of fun. And you can set up a ham radio station anywhere.
At our site, the tower’s ground elevation is 1250 ft. The height above average terrain(HAAT) is 580 ft. The area is called Bennett Hill and it is located in Ossipee, New Hampshire.
Crown Castle owns and manages the site and tower on Bennett Hill where our ham shack and equipment is located. At that location, we house 3 repeaters which are 2 meter, 6 meter ad 70 cm.
Our sponsors helped us raise funds, contribute food, and provide a home for our ham shack and repeaters. They have donated ham radio equipment, supplied the fuel to run our back-up generator and a place to set up our ham radio antennas.
Now, our donated 12 kW propane generator provides emergency power to all of our repeaters. This emergency power will last up to for up to 5 days before our battery back-up is utilized.
Their sponsorship has become a mutually beneficial business relationship between them and our organization.
They have helped us reach our goals and objectives. Their financial support has helped us reduce our organization’s costs.
Thank you for your support for amateur radio and our repeaters!
